Professional Application Guide
For best results, GT-450 should be applied using professional-grade tools like a Heavyweight T-Bar Applicator.
New Installations & Resands:
Preparation: Sand the floor according to MFMA procedures. Ensure all dust and particles are removed via vacuuming and tacking.
Sealing: Apply an approved oil-based sealer (like our 35% Solids Sealer) at a rate of 500 sq. ft./gal.
Application: Apply GT-450 using a T-Bar or “pour and pull” method. Maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks.
Curing: Allow the floor to dry for at least 48 hours before light foot traffic. Full cure is reached in 30 days.
Screen & Recoat:
Clean the floor thoroughly with a tacking solution. Abrade the existing finish with 120 or 150-grit screens. Tack the floor again until completely clean, then apply one coat of GT-450.
