FAQ's

What is the Scuff Ace and how does it work?

The Scuff Ace by Tuway is a floor scuff mark remover that comes with its own handle. You press the replaceable scrub head (ball holder) against the mark and rub it off while standing upright, so there is no bending or kneeling. It is made for gym floors, basketball courts, and other hard floors.

Does the Scuff Ace come with a handle?

Yes. The Scuff Ace comes with its own handle, so it is ready to use out of the box; you do not need a dust mop handle. Replacement scrub heads fit that same handle and are sold as Scuff Ace Refills in a case of 6.

How do I replace the Scuff Ace scrub head?

Discard the used ball holder and snap a new one onto the Scuff Ace; the head is designed for quick changes on the floor. Replacement heads are sold as Scuff Ace Refills in a case of 6, so you can keep spares on the cleaning cart. Tuway lists the refill as part T-BALL-RF.

How do you get scuff marks off a gym floor?

Start with dry friction: rub the mark with a soft scrub head such as the Scuff Ace, which lifts most shoe scuffs without chemicals. Then clean the spot as part of normal damp mopping with a pH neutral cleaner such as Tac-Tite Gym Floor Cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads that can dull the finish.

Can the Scuff Ace be used on floors other than gym floors?

Yes. Tuway markets the Scuff Ace for most hard floor surfaces, so it also works in hallways, lobbies, and other hard flooring where shoe scuffs build up. On soft or specialty finishes, try it on a small, out of the way spot first to make sure the scrub head does not dull the surface.

What comes with the Scuff Ace?

The Scuff Ace ships as one tool with its own handle and a replaceable scrub head (ball holder) already installed. It is lightweight and fits on a standard cleaning cart, so it can travel with the dust mop on daily rounds. Replacement heads are sold separately as Scuff Ace Refills in a case of 6.
