WaterHog CleanShield Stride Mat – Cleanliness for Gym Floors

The WaterHog CleanShield Stride mat offers an exceptional two-step cleaning solution that removes dirt and dust particles effectively. The system combines a durable WaterHog mat with an adhesive insert, making it an ideal choice for entryways to clean rooms, school gymnasiums, and server rooms. This system not only safeguards your floors but also minimizes wear and tear caused by debris on shoes.

Step 1: The raised nubs on the WaterHog mat scrape dirt and moisture from shoes, trapping it below foot level.
Step 2: The adhesive insert removes any remaining fine dust and dirt particles, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

This system is especially valuable for gyms and sports facilities, where debris on shoes can damage delicate flooring. Replacement adhesive inserts are available to allow long-term use of the mat.

FAQ's

How does the WaterHog CleanShield Stride mat work?

This dust control mat cleans shoes in two steps. Raised nubs on the WaterHog section scrape dirt and moisture off shoes and trap it below foot level, then the adhesive insert picks up the fine dust that is left. M+A Matting says two steps on the insert remove over 90% of dirt particles before people reach the gym floor.

Are the adhesive inserts included with the CleanShield Stride mat?

No. The mat and rubber frame ship without inserts, which are sold separately as the CleanShield Stride Insert. Each insert has 60 numbered adhesive layers. A layer works for many steps; when it stops picking up dust, peel it away to expose the next one, and the numbers show how many remain.

Which insert size fits my CleanShield Stride mat?

The 2 ft x 5 ft mat (about 26.5 in x 63.5 in) takes 24 in x 30 in inserts. The 3 ft x 8 ft mat (about 36.5 in x 92.5 in) takes 34 in x 44 in inserts. M+A notes that rubber sizes vary 3 to 5% with temperature and age, so these measurements are approximate.

Can I use the CleanShield Stride mat at a wet or outdoor entrance?

No. M+A Matting does not recommend CleanShield Stride for wet areas, so place it inside the building, past the first entrance mat, where shoes are already mostly dry. M+A offers a smooth backing for hard floors and a cleated backing for carpet; choose the backing that matches the floor under the mat.

How do I clean a CleanShield Stride mat?

Vacuum the WaterHog section daily in high-traffic entrances and weekly in lighter areas. For heavy soil, remove the inserts, then extract the mat or hose it off and hang it to dry. M+A says the mat should be fully dry before it goes back in service or into storage.
